The reason you should be doing Arena.

The stats are simply amazing. It ranks above Nightbane’s, the Heroic or the Sha’tar shield easily. In fact, I’ll use it above Gruul’s shield too. It’s good to see that there’s something useful to be gained from doing Arena for a warrior.

    Also, if you already have a lot of avoidance, defense and block value in your current gear set and are still sporting a blue chest piece because Nightbane and Mag are the only purples in your future, I suggest the [Merciless Gladiator’s Plate Chestpiece]. If you’re grinding Kara, heroics, and faction, but not quite downing Nightbane, more than likely your only remaining piece of blue armor is that chest. Pop 3 solid stars in that baby and you’ve got about 1300 HP just from that chest if you’re a Tauren…not to mention a solid +600 AC. All I have to say is damn… +hit is always fun too. :D

    I’m getting my chest piece on tuesday…you basically just have to do a 5v5 and win 40-60% of you matches and you’ll be alright… It really hurts the team to be prot. I reccommend having a resto shammy with ya. :D They’re invincible. Their entire team will be beating on him while you kill the squishies with your pathetic prot dps. You can easily get 300-400 points a week that way. Enough to get the shield in…a month and a half? ^_^; It’s worth the wait.

    Actually, i asked this question yesterday (about what to get when you just aren’t finding groups for heroics and instances in general) and i just ran into this today. Since S1 is now offered as bg rewards, i did one whole day of bgs and EOTS(ughhhh) to get it. I got the shield just yesterday. Much better shield imo compared to the shield i can never get off of the 1st boss of shadow labs…

    The S1 Shield is definitely good, but the S2 shield is actually better than Gruul’s and will last you until Black Temple making it far superior.
