ZG is still the Place to Be.

Don’t settle for an inferior enchant that costs 90g. Presence of Might is still the best enchant for your helm.

You’re so completely right… but how do you convince guildies to grind to Bloodlord for one enchant? :/

Nostalgia, the fish book, and gold to name a few
Winding up 10 people on an off-day isn’t always as hard as you might think.

While I agree the ZG enchant is superior, I’d end up having to pay the 90 gold anyhow. It would be difficult to find a willing group to get it the night the helm you wants drop, and I would not and could not tank without my helm being enchanted.

Agreed. I’d feel like a scrub.
But…you could farm the ‘chant and save it for when you get, “the helm you want.” Nee?

Yup, exactly Tara. Just get the enchant now so that when the perfect helm drops, you already have it.

How many people are needed for this? And would Hexx guy or Bloodlord be better choice?
How do you get the warrior Voodoo Doll? Could you farm that with only a couple people?

Jindo or Bloodlord drop the one part with Bloodlord likely being the easier of that two and definitely the fastest to get to, but both are pretty cake with a good number of people on the run.
The Voodoo Doll can be farmed by yourself if your Block Value gear is good enough from a few spots in ZA. It’s from Hoodoo Piles, but can also be purchased from other Guilds/AH since it’s a BOE item. (make sure you get the warrior one since they all have the same name, but a different class underneath their name)

Bloodlord can be done with a balenced group 5 70s, there isn’t as much “grinding” as you think since most 70s can just run past most the mobs in ZG. A few groups need clearing but they are easy/fun to say the least.
We went in one night with a group of 8 70s and pretty much messed around (such as not even tanking bloodlord or raptor and just going dps buckwild) with 1 resto healer… ended up working and now i have an idol sitting in my bank.
Most 70s who were around in the days of ZG would jump on the chance to go back there when they are bored.

Is there a guide to farming the hoodoo piles? I have the other part, just need the Punctured Voodoo Doll and I can’t find one on the AH.
Last time I tried to solo a pile it was empty… has this been nerfed?

I have been going through the pain you seem to have as well, have 3 idols and 0 dolls.
Soloable Hoodoo Piles.
* One going up to Jeklik on the right, big batpull on the pile.
* One going to Mar’li before the fortified area on the right, in the yard of 20ish tigers.
* One at Jin’Do’s area north of the pit of death. Have 5ish mobs on it.
I have seen about every friggin voodoo doll in these piles and brazillion Blood Scythes but no warrior doll as of yet. I believe Blizzard removed them from the game just for fun.

This is fairly easy to farm. Bloodlord can be taken down with a tank, a rogue and a mana efficient healer such as a druid fairly easily. I personally did it with a rogue tanking in a high dodge set, a rogue DPSing and a paladin/priest team healing.
Just bug out the raptor on the shrine.

I cant’t look it up from where I am posting this, but ist this still valid when compared to the new enchant from the Shatered Sun?

Yup, perhaps not immediately, but once you’ve got sufficient uncrittableness (if that can be called a word) from your gear then resilience becomes worthless whereas Defense is always useful as an avoidance stat no matter how you look at it.
10 Defense and 15 Block Value trumps 6 Stamina.

Trick question: Is the enchant applyable through the trade window? I still have loads of idols and other guildies are finally interested enough to grind a doll for themself.
Not that getting some kiddies that want a raptor mount is hard but still.

Just a quick note: got this very recently. First kill of bloodlord (it was me, with a resto shammy and a shadow priest, all in t4 or equivalent), then about 2 weeks of farming the 3 spots wroshe mentioned above…Nice enchant, prolly gonna save it as long as i can…though i don’t see my guild dropping vashj anytime soon…so no t5 helm for me =P
