TankingTips.com Readers Confirm: It was April 1st Yesterday!
Yup, jokes out and there’s 119 comments to show for it.
I’ll admit that I prolonged the amusement by keeping all comments in moderation and only approving those that I fooled. (hehe sorry fools) I didn’t get a whole lotta ya, but I think had I been cruel and not made the link aprilfools.gif, I may very well have got a lot more
Special Thanks to Ciderhelm @ Tankspot.com for helping to scam as many folks as possible. One thing you guys may now lose amongst the endless swarm of comments is that as Kavtor mentions that last post was #100. I was going to do something special in regards to that (and likely still will), but I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play on the hopes and dreams of all of us that own the orange beauty. (not to mention motivate those that don’t have it to seek out this luck factory)
It was a great day of laughs guys, feel free to share any other jokes you came across in your travels in the WoW community.

IMO for legendary weapons like that, they should scale with content via a quest. I mean the thing is legendary, it should not be bested by a green sword that drops off an ice pig in northrend. Maybe offer a quest to infuse it with the vials of eternity from Kael’thas and Lady Vashj so its power will be augmented by the power of the Well of Eternity. Just a thought.

While it would be cool to upgrade legendaries with some obscure quest involving new content it would almost certainly go against the lore behind the item’s initial story line so it’s kind of a catch 22.

Over the years, i have developed an internet sarcasm (or BS) alarm and when i saw that with the date 4-1-2008, the alarm was on full blast.

Thought your BS alarm was on full blast for that one? Just wait for his post on how to generate threat on banished targets.

It would be nice if they just had a couple really rare tier set tokens that could up the power on old legendary weapons. Maybe as the game expands they could rename the old weapons and downgrade their rarity, then allowing you to complete a quest to re-empower the weapon to a level appropriate state.

@ Artus
That would be nice, but we will probably never see that. Although, with the introduction of Death Knights coming in WotLK, something like this may happen. It is my understanding that in Warcraft lore, a Death Knight’s powers are somewhat bound to their weapon, so this may introduce a way to upgrade/scale weapons in WoW as a charater levels.
