I 100% believe in this post's message for new tanks out there.
As everybody's good friend Wanderlei said "No tank who is doing everything they can to help their guild succeed uses just one set of armor to tank everything."

This has really been my mantra for handling various situations, and as a result I carry somewhere between 30-35 different pieces of gear with me at all times, including a full set of dps gear. When I heard about the new 22 slot bags, I literally went out and farmed 9600 gold to buy bags for my endless amounts of resist sets, useful threat items, and other fun things I use for basically one encounter a week.

Get Bigger Bags. Quit spending your money on poprocks and bubblegum!

I bought 4x 22 Slot Bags. I feel as if a great weight has been removed from my chest.

ok, I gotta snicker at this.

now, granted, I don't have a threat set, and an avoidance set. I have two main sets: a Tanking set (which I'm always wearing, a little avoidance heavy, with a threat weapon), and a DPS set. I have BOTH of my Hydross resistance sets in the bank, and I haven't had the luxury of starting my SR set yet.

as for consumables:

2 stacks of SSC pots
2 stacks of TK pots
at the most, 2 healing pot injectors (40 pots)

ONE stack of flasks
at the most, one stack of Shattrath Flasks
food as needed.
regular elixirs when I can.

it's cool that you carry your gear on you at all times, but... dude, you sounsd like you're gonna raid for 72 hours STRAIGHT.

I know where I'm going on a particular night, and I pack accordingly. I'm often left with about 10-12 open slots for whatever greys and greens and new loots show up that I can claim for my own.

I have an advantage, that my tank's a herb/miner, so I don't have to worry about any crafting mats, I admit...

but rethink your theory a little.... you might make things easier if you take 5 minutes before your raid and say "ok, I need this, this, and this tonight." unless your guild raids ALL OVER on any given night... you know you aren't tanking all those bosses in one night.

my best advice? invest in a bank toon... you'd be surprised how easy it makes it on you. and the copper you spend mailing stuff back and forth is worth the hassle and space you have.

Got a ton of crafting mats, food and non-soulbound items? Easy solution.

Just create an alt guild bank. For the price of a guild charter and the signatures of 10 players, you can create a guild. You can then create a guild bank. Buy one tab. Total costs approximately 100gold and 10 silver (plus what ever you have to do to get folks to sign your charter). You now have 98 slots. Now the second tab gets a little pricey (250gold), but you get the idea.

My bank is full of low-level gear that I'm fond of for some reason, and my bags are full of things like pairs of weapons with matching look. I guess I'm not a very objective tank. What do you expect from an RP server :)

A Fair point. I guess it depends on how much you trust your guildies to repay you :-)
