My guild currently has a use for it.

Our Enhance Shaman has an Executioner / Deathfrost combo on his weapons. It seems to be the best use for it. Also, since it can work of spell casts, you can have them cast lightning bolts at the gargoyles in MH (since they are attacking the other casters) until they pull aggro, then ghost wolf to outrange them and they are taken over by another tank once they are on the ground.

In terms of a Pali-tank (I know what am I doing here?) It does proc off the “first” tick of concencration, and holy shield too if i can remember. Can be useful if you have multipul casters/trash mobs. This could reduce some incoming damage nicely if you pull alot of aoe trash, or MH trash mayhaps?

It is definately not affected my spell damage. It also does not proc off of consecrate ticks or reflected damage which makes it even worse for a pally tank than it would be for a warrior.

You’re probably better off with an arcane mage in your raid casting Slow. This works to slow down casting on at least some bosses, but it’s hard to tell which.

Druids don’t get to have proc on hit effects work with their weapons currently so its pretty useless for a druid to have. Now if one of the melee had it on an extra weapon with a druid it would be nice but for a druid its not.

How badass would that be if it stacked with Thunderfury though?

Are there any reports of this proc affecting bosses that are otherwise immune to curse of tongues and the like? Perhaps that would boost its usability.

Probably a good enchant for a prot pally or feral druid to have on an extra weapon. 15% slow is pretty huge if they don’t have a warrior around to back them up with Imp. TC.

Deathfrost is a useful PvP enchant for those who like to Prot PvP since it provides useful functions in an efficient manner. There are a few melee PvPer’s in my guild who like it.

According to the EJ forums it doesn’t miss and uses the spell crit rate. If its accuracy is true it makes it interesting against targets with high miss rates (such as rogues with CoS).
