1. Heroic Strike + Devastate
Other versions: Heroic Strike + Revenge
I’ll admit that initially I used this macro. It’s easy. It’s not the proper way to use Heroic Strike though. This is about the worst way possible to generate threat in a low to moderate rage situation. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but in the end you have to learn to use Heroic Strike whenever you’re at high rage, not whenever you devastate.

I’ve failed at making a true About page here for quite some time. Thankfully Matticus over at WorldofMatticus.com held my hand and forced me through an interview.

…and the clouds parted letting the light shine through like an omen from the lord himself radiating upon his shield and the lord spoke, “Thou shall Tank” and he tanked and it was good.
err… no, it wasn’t quite like that. Nope, not really at all.
The Selection Process
I remember watching hunters in action to dabbling with shadow priests to any number of other different classes until I stumbled upon my Warrior.
So, you always wanted to tank… right?
Uh… nope.

Rage Floating is the art of going into every pull in an instance with high rage. It’s not quite chain pulling, but it’s certainly close and to an extent is associated with chain pulling. Most tanks to one degree or another do this, but you’ll know when they don’t quite get it if they’re yelling, “OMG I’m running out of Rage… I gotta pull!”
Rage Floating 101
1. Thou shall not Bloodrage in combat.
Bloodrage is for using outside of combat to prevent rage decay. Don’t use this if you are at full rage, wait until you’re down to 80 then pop it.

I had traveled through the corridors of Karazhan, the jungles of Zul’Aman, into the lair of Gruul, checked out the cellar of Magtheridon, ventured through the caverns of Serpentshrine, into the keep of Kael’thas and yet never found it. I scoured the mounts of Hyjal and demanded it of Archimonde himself to no avail. I walked the deepest, darkest Temple and still nothing.
Then finally, lost in confusion, delusion and rage, I forced my will upon my enemy even as my companions sought to prevent that very act and in doing so found my relic… found my Grail.
